Solliden Skansen Open-Air Museum

The Solliden outdoor performance arena was constructed at the Skansen Open-Air Museum in 1938, and since then, has staged prime-time productions and attracted large-scale audiences. Today, the arena hosts concerts, annual music events and traditional holiday performances. Over time, Solliden has become a national symbol recognised by most Swedes.

The Solliden chair was designed specifically for Skansen and the outdoor performance arena and large events. It has the best seat comfort designed with a nice back and seat-friendly seat that can be complemented with cushions. Designing and producing new seating for the arena required a range of considerations, such as making the products maintenance-free, able to accommodate a range of body types and able to seat people of all ages. The seats are easy to assemble, remove and stack together when not required. The brief included designing a unique trolley to transport the seating to and from the performance arena.

Den nuvarande Sollidenscenen på Skansen i Stockholm byggdes 1938 och scenen fungerar i dag för stora publika evenemang, som Allsång på Skansen, för konserter och vid firandet av traditionella högtider. Sollidenscenen och Solliden som plats är känt för en större del av Sveriges befolkning och ger i dag stora symbol- och identitetsvärden.

Nolas Sollidenstol ritades specifikt för Skansen och platsen. Stolen används i dag vid alla större evenemang invid Sollidenscenen. Genom beslag kan stolen lätt kopplas samman och ställas fram för stora tillställningar. Den har bästa sittkonfort utformad med skön rygg och sittvänlig sits som kan kompletteras med dynor. Dessutom är den underhållsfri och stapelbar. För att enkelt kunna packa och transportera Solliden finns där en tillhörande vagn, även den specialritad till projektet.
